Academy Etiquette & Rules
Dojang Etiquette
- Parents are responsible for leaving the child 5 minutes before the class and pick them up at the time of end of your’s wards group.
- Students will bow to the Ground/Hall before entering or leaving the training floor.
- Students are not to enter the class late or leave early without the permission of the instructor.
- Students can wear Special Shoes in winters.
- Students are required to wear a Dobok (Uniform) during training timings. All jewellery MUST be removed when wearing the Dobok. Male students are required to wear a protective groin cup. Doboks should be kept clean and treated with respect at all times. Students are responsible for their belongings.
- The class will line with the highest belts in the front and to the Right side of the instructor. You should remember your place in the order and line up quickly.
- Students should stand at attention when addressing the instructor. Students are expected to address the instructor as Master, Sir/Mam or Senior. Instructors should never be called by their first name in the Dojang.
- Students will turn away from the instructor or opponent when adjusting Dobok or belt.
- Students will respect instructors and students of higher rank. Often times, higher belts will be required to instruct you (even though they are not black belts). When they are instructing you, you should give them the respect and attention as you would do to any instructor.
- Students are encouraged to participate in class enthusiastically. However, unnecessary conversation should be avoided.
- Disagreements with instructors should only be brought up in private, outside the class.
Dojang Rules
- Students are not to hold any demonstrations or teach Martial Arts without the approval of their instructor.
- Students are not to engage in any activities that might degrade the code of Martial Arts, the reputation of their school or instructor, or the reputation of the Extreme Martial Arts.
- Students should have the approval of their instructor prior to participation in any tournament competition or promotional testing.
- The use of profanity, obscene gestures or actions and unnecessary roughness towards a fellow student is prohibited and may result in suspension or termination of training.
- The Extreme Martial Arts / Coaches / Trainers concerned will not be responsible in any way for the injuries/accident sustained by trainees during the training period.
- Uniforms will be provided by the Coach.
- Fee once paid shall not be refunded.
- There will be examination fee if special test will be held.
- The Belt Course duration can be extended if the performance is not up to the mark or more practice is needed.
- Students with pending fee & other dues or without dress will not be allowed to appear in tests. The tests will be held on specified dates only.
- The fee will be adjusted only if the written application is submitted in advance to the concern instructor and should not be less than one month leave.
- Students are responsible for their belongings. In case of loss, you can confirm with EMA Instructors but we are not responsible for it. Wearing of any kind of Jewellery is not allowed.
